Opening of Intramurals: TCCSTFI’s 16th Foundation Anniversary Celebration
Theme: Embracing Sports, Culture, and the Arts in the Post-Pandemic Time
The Tagum City College of Science and Technology Foundation, Inc. (TCCSTFI) kicked off its 16th Foundation Anniversary and Intramurals on September 24, 2023, with a day packed full of exciting events. The celebrations began with a vibrant parade from Rotary Park to the school, featuring the Drums and Bugles Corps (DBC), cosplayers, and enthusiastic students.
The program officially opened with a prayer, followed by the singing of the national anthem and TCCSTFI hymn. The first day’s events included a banner raising, vocal solo and duet contests, modern dance performances, a funny show, and a cheer dance competition.

The event ended on a high note with students and teachers sharing in the excitement and support for their teams, making the first day of the intramurals a memorable experience.
The celebration concluded with the grand finale on the last day, showcasing incredible talent and energy. Highlights included the Battle of the Bands and Pageantry Competition, which had the crowd cheering non-stop.
The Battle of the Bands featured four teams: Quantum Knights, Velocity Vandals, Vulcan Heats, and Lethal Legends. Each group delivered outstanding performances, with Team Blue (Quantum Knights) winning 1st place, Team Yellow (Velocity Vandals) securing 2nd place, and Team Red (Vulcan Heats) finishing 3rd.
The Pageantry Competition crowned the new Mr. and Ms. TCCSTFI 2023. The event featured various segments, including a Creative Jeans competition, a School Uniform Presentation, a Question-and-Answer portion, and a Sports Attire segment.

2nd Place: Shiela Mae Suarez (Vulcan Heats)
3rd Place: Trixie Asencio (Velocity Vandals)
In a dazzling conclusion, Naphtalie Peligrino (Quantum Knights) was crowned Ms. TCCSTFI, winning a 5,000 pesos grand prize.

1st Place: Cydrick Cordova (Lethal Legends)
2nd Place: Jed Niel Bautista (Vulcan Heats)
3rd Place: Edgardo Espinosa (Vulcan Heats)
Champion: John Osorio (Lethal Legends), who also won 5,000 pesos.
The day ended with cheers and celebrations, cementing the 16th Foundation Anniversary and Intramurals as a highlight of the TCCSTFI school year. The event not only celebrated the spirit of competition but also the talent, beauty, and unity of the TCCSTFI community.
